American Express and Zynga join forces to create a prepaid debit card that allows users to make a virtual world FarmVille in exchange for purchases of $.(Because your wallet was missing a card rewards that displays clearly a duck, with teeth, chewing wheat.)

The co-branded card also serves as a way for American Express reach low income population, reports the Wall Street Journal, which is less likely to take advantage of partnerships of AmEx with Delta, Starwood and Mercedes-Benz.
Dan Schulman, President of the Group of growth business of AmEx, told the WSJ that this map is the "perfect for American Express extend its franchise to become much more of a mark inclusive."
Zynga has 292 million monthly active users, and of 22.5 million people use only FarmVille.
The project launched Tuesday. It begins when the plant users the "use money tree" in the game. Players obtain virtual when rewards they sign up for a service account, when the card is enabled, when they transfer money from a current bank account on the map, when they make their five first $25 to buy and of course, when they collect their money trees.
This is not the first time, AmEx and Farmville have formed a partnership. In 2010, AmEx has given purple cows of players of Zynga and other goodies through rewards programs.
American Express has established links with other networks social, including Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare.
Zynga in partnership with Frito Lay in March to put codes in some bags of chips sold to Wal-Mart which could unblock FarmVille virtual goodies.
